Lymphoedema is a long term (chronic) disease where lymphatic fluid collects in the tissues,
causing swelling.
There are two types of Lymphoedema - Primary and Secondary.
Please note, not all people develop Lymphoedema after lymph node damage.
The condition most often causes a feeling of heaviness, cosmetic deformity, slight discomfort and repeated episodes of infection in the affected limb.
The appropriate compression garment can assist with the swelling and help with a better quality of life.
